During my sixteen weeks in staff photojournalism I missed out on having any breaking news occur on my shifts. The one week I am in the newsroom before the summer staff class comes in I have had two cases of breaking news within the past four days. I had a lot of access today and had the chance to sit and watch Boone County Firefighters do their job. These people don't get enough credit for the work they do. 

Luckily no one was hurt today, which is great news.

I only have a couple days left working at the Missourian before my summer offically kicks off and so far I have really enjoyed all my assignments. Looking forward to heading home for awhile though.
